Commemorative stamps
	Pakistan's first commemorative set was released on 00-07-1948. Since then, it has regularly issued such stamps on various topics including personalities; national and international events; institutions; flora and fauna, geography, history, world heritage sites, campaigns and United Nations.

 

Definitive stamps
	Pakistan's first definitive set was released on 14-08-1948. Since then it has issued a total of  __ series, the latest being in 1998. Three of the last four series have featured portraits of the Quaid (1989, 1994 & 1998)

 

Official stamps
	Pakistan's first official set was released on 00-00-0000. These stamps are overprinted "service." Since 1947, __  series have been issued. The current (2008) series features the State Bank Building in Islamabad.

 

Fiscal stamps
	These stamps include driving license, gun permit, court fees, insurance and bank duty.
